Tracy Kelley has been with Sion Power for 20 years, currently serving as CEO and president. He has held multiple leadership roles during his tenure, including eight years as chief executive officer and five years as chief technology officer. Tracy’s deep technical expertise and leadership have been instrumental in advancing Sion Power’s battery technology and positioning the company as a pioneer in next-generation energy solutions.

Before joining Sion Power, Tracy worked at Valence Technology, a developer of lithium-ion batteries, where he contributed to early innovations in advanced battery systems.

Mitch Hourtienne is chief commercial officer of Sion Power, where he leads commercial strategy, customer engagement, partnerships, and supply chain development. He brings over 25 years of experience in automotive technology and commercialization, with a focus on sensors and advanced systems.

Prior to Sion, he was CCO at Cepton, where he secured a major contract with General Motors, supported the company’s IPO, and guided its acquisition by Koito Manufacturing. Mitch also held leadership roles at Sensata, Freescale, Infineon, and Siemens VDO, helping bring breakthrough technologies to market.

Job Rijssenbeek, Ph.D., is chief technology officer of Sion Power, leading the company’s technical organization and driving the development and commercialization of its Licerion® lithium-metal battery technology. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology development and research organizations in advanced energy storage and materials science. Throughout his career, Job has been recognized for building high-performing technical teams and translating scientific innovation into commercial success.

Most recently, he served as vice president, core technology at Albemarle Corporation, where he led teams advancing foundational technologies across battery materials and other strategic growth areas. He previously served as Albemarle’s vice president, energy storage R&D and global lithium R&D director, building and scaling global battery research organizations and driving innovation in lithium battery materials and processes.

Earlier in his career, Job held technical leadership positions at GE Global Research, leading battery materials development, cell testing and life modeling, and advanced energy storage initiatives.

He holds a Ph.D. in solid state chemistry from Northwestern University.

Sonia Taylor is vice president of marketing & communications at Sion Power, where she leads the company’s marketing, brand, and communications strategy as it commercializes its Licerion® lithium-metal battery technology for defense, aerospace, and advanced mobility markets. She brings more than two decades of experience positioning advanced technologies and building brands across the defense, energy, and technology sectors.

Most recently, Sonia served as vice president of communications for the Energy Defense Council, helping build its annual TEVCON conference into a global forum on energy resilience and drone dominance. Previously, as director of communications at GM Defense, she led award-winning campaigns that helped establish and grow the company’s defense business, including the launch of its commercial-based military vehicles and first hybrid tactical wheeled vehicle.

Sonia has also held marketing and communications leadership roles at Bechtel Power and L3Harris Technologies and served as a senior communications advisor supporting the U.S. Department of Energy.

She began her career as a journalist before moving into technology communications, where she helped launch and position dozens of B2B technology startups.
